The BAT80 and BT80 are designed for vertical motion applications where the carriage and motor are stationary and the extrusion moves up and down.  This reduces the moving weight and eliminates the cable flexing leading to a perfect Z-axis actuator with less weight which leads to higher speeds and allows for further travel making them ideal for long length Z-axis applications.
