In case of the pneumatically switched-on Planox® clutch, type PP, the compressed air is fed axially through the shaft into the ring cylinder, thereby determining the torque. The wear that occurs is automatically compensated over the piston stroke. Combined with flexible couplings, the PP type is especially suitable as a safety clutch for dual screw extruders in the plastic indurstry. These are ground in at our grind-in test stand especially produced for this application, and set there to the required slip torque.Torque range from 150 Nm to 1,000,000 Nm
