sensors.The IPC707 is highly configurable
(transfer function with optional integration, transfer sensitivity, high-pass
and low-pass filtering, and optional diagnostic circuitry), and provides either
a current output or a voltage output. It is compatible with different
piezoelectric materials and replaces the previous versions of the IPC704 signal
conditioner (PNR 244-704-000-xxx).The IPC707 is designed and built for
long-term use in environments characterised by hazardous areas (potentially
explosive atmospheres). It is also designed for use in safety-related
applications (functional safety contexts/systems) such as SIL 2 in
accordance with IEC 61508 and PL c Cat 1 in accordance with
ISO 13849-1.Note: The IPC707 signal conditioner is a form, fit and
functionally equivalent replacement (fully backward compatible) for the IPC704
signal conditioner and earlier IPCxxx signal conditioners, that matches or
betters the outstanding measurement specifications of the IPC704. The IPC707
also adds a number of significant improvements, including:·        
New filters as per ISO 2954,
independent of transfer gain and input impedance·        
New grounding concept for improved
frame-voltage immunity·        
Smaller output impedance for voltage
output signal transmission over longer distances·        
Optional diagnostic circuitry (that is,
built-in test equipment (BITE)) providing continuous feedback on the health of
the measurement chain (sensor, cabling and the signal conditioner itself)·        
Suitable for use in functional safety
