The probe permits the trasmission of the level to a remote indicator, through a 4-20 mA signal, linear and proportional to the center to center distance connection. The probe can be mounted on a 2000 or 2000T series level indicator and it’s not in contact with the process fluid. It is composed by a series of reed contacts, inserted in a stainless steel tube and connected to a converter inside the housing. The magnet inside the float of the 2000 or 2000T series level indicator, close one of the different reed contacts in the probe, which, being connected to a resistance chain, determine a variation of the total resistive value of the chain. In this way the level is changed into a resistance variation, that, afterwards, is changed into a linear signal 4-20 mA, proportional to the field of the series level indicator.
