Applications of the compression load cell Plant engineering and production lines Measuring and inspection equipment Special equipment and machinery construction Press in forces and axial joining forces monitoring Special features of the compression load cell Measuring ranges 0 ... 1 kN up to 0 ... 1,000 kN For compression force measurements Simple force introduction, easy installation Protection class IP67 Relative linearity error 0.3 % Fnom (0.1 % Fnom optional) Description of the compression load cell Compression load cells are used to determine compression forces in a wide range of applications and are suitable for static and dynamic measurement tasks. The electrical load cells of the F1211 series are manufactured from stainless steel and enable the measurement of high static pressure loads up to 1,000 kN. These products are available with nominal loads of 1 kN to 1,000 kN. Due to their compactness, our compression load cells are very frequently used in industrial applications and in the laboratory and test fields. Through the optionally available, increased accuracy of 0.1 % of full scale, it is also possible to use them in industrial weighing technology. The spherical calotte (spherical load application button) allows for a very simple force introduction. Standard mounting of the compression load cell is horizontal or vertical. The load cells are splash-proof, robust and work reliably, even under difficult operating conditions. There is an optional 100 % signal control function via the detuning of the measuring bridge through an integrated, activatable shunt resistor. In order to avoid overloading, it is advantageous to connect the compression load cell electrically during installation and to monitor the measured value. The force to be measured must be applied concentrically and free of transverse force. The compression load cell has to be mounted on a level surface.
