Kingsbury's PMH Units were specifically designed for horizontal hydro turbines requiring fluid film thrust bearings and journal bearings complete with pedestal-mounted housings. The active thrust bearing is invariably equipped with Kingsbury's leveling plates to assure equal distribution of the heavy loads often found in such applications, and the axial length of the journal bearings can be easily adjusted depending on the mass of the rotor and radial load to be borne.

Kingsbury can supply not only the bearing and housing assemblies, but the lube skid as well.
